If you’re still anxiously waiting a Groupon for tickets to see all your favourite 90s boy bands in one concert, that day has arrived. Kinda. Except, there’s no singing and it’s really gory.
The new trailer for Dead 7, the first horror film from Backstreet Boy’s singer Nick Carter, who acts as the film’s producer, has dropped and features a who’s who of 90s boy band members.
Carter will be joined by his BSB bandmates AJ McLean and Howie Dorough, while NSYNC members Joey Fatone, who has actually enjoyed a pretty solid acting career, and Chris Kirkpatrick will be presenting team NSYNC. Almost the entire population of O-Town will appear in Dead 7, including Erik-Michael Estrada, Jacob Underwood, Trevor Penick and Dan Miller, but no Ashley Parker-Angel, because he loves disappointing us. Finally, Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees also appears in the film.
The made for TV movie follows a band of boys men as they help a small town that has been overrun with zombies in a post-apocalyptic world. Dead 7 is by the same people who brought us the great Sharknado franchise, but for some reason zombies just seem way more believable. Those boy banders. We’ll buy anything they’re selling.
The Dead 7 trailer only includes one boy band pun with ‘Bye Bye Bye To Zombies’. We’re hoping the movie, which airs April 1 in the US and will hopefully come to Canada, will include many more. Like, I’ll Never Eat Your Heart, Give Me Just One Night (Of The Living Dead), All Or Nothing (Dead Brain Remix).
